"It is not just a matter of winning or losing,
it it HOW you won it,
and HOW you lost it." - Mr Gerard Danker
Every game is a lesson, there is always a learning point.
With more games, you get to know yourself better, you get to know your team better.
You become a more experienced and seasoned player, you become better at performing and giving your best as a team.
Yuhua Sec game- we learned that we need to keep calm under pressure
- the pressure was mainly self-imposed, unforced mistakes were made
- there was no communication among the players while under pressure
- we were our greatest enemy
Jurongville Sec game- we must not allow our standards to slack according to our opponents' level
- we must not underestimate our opponents
- we were too complacent, there was little game satisfaction although we won
- there must be consistency in our performance
Punggol Sec game
- we must be quicker, sharper and 'more hungry' at rebounds
- don't stand and admire, BE THERE!
- our shots/sweeps/pushes must be harder and deadlier in the D
- we must make every chances at goal COUNT!
- every game should be 100% , regardless of our opponents
These are the above lessons i have learned from every game.
I hope you are a better student than me :)
Please remember the learning points, reflect upon them.
4 more games to go.
May you be the best that you can be.
ps. It's good to see you smiling again Carolyn :)
