Two mice fell into a vessel of cream.
Overwhelmed by the difficult task of getting out,
the first mouse gave up and drowned.
But the other mouse was determined to fight on,
and started thrashing and churning as fast as it could.
The milk soon turned into butter, and it climbed out.
What is the moral of this story?
Two mice, one situation, two different outcomes.
Experience is not what happens to you; it is what you
do with what happens to you.
Ultimately in life, your ability to do well depends on
what you focus on.
Focus on the difficulty, and you will soon lose the nerve
and verve to fight on. But focus on learning and progressing,
and you will eventually find enough courage to beat
the odds.
Hang in there!
